Holywood’s Golf Professionals

Meet our resident golf professionals, ready to work with you and better your score.

Ciaran Lavery – Head Golf Professional

I am a PGA Professional with more than 10 years’ experience and over 20 years in the golf industry. As a competitive player, I play regularly on the Irish PGA region, where I have recorded numerous top-10 finishes and multiple professional victories.

My coaching philosophy is built on continual professional development and a passion for helping golfers improve through proven systems. I have undertaken extensive additional study within the PGA degree framework, with a specialist focus on short-game performance. This has included many years of research and development influenced by James Ridyard, short game coach to Justin Rose and other top professionals, and the Wedgematrix system.

In addition, I have developed my long-game coaching through working with leading coaches Zane Scotland and Billy Irvine at the Zane Scotland Academy. This has included exposure to advanced coaching concepts such as MORAD, along with player development strategies centred on effective training programmes, performance planning, and goal setting.
